Rink Rules 101!

Rink Rules 101: How to have a safe & fun time skating!

Whether you’re a regular skater or just stepping foot on the rink for the very first time, we’ve got some rules for everyone to follow to help keep our arena a safe place to skate so the good times can keep rolling on and on…

  1. Skaters Only on the Rink, Please!

We do not allow walking on the rink. So, if you’re a parent or helping someone skate, you will need to skate with them too – it’s more fun in skates anyway! The only exception to this rule is our Beginners Skate Session, where we allow you to walk on the rink to support those just starting out.

  1. Stay in Motion—No Blocking Traffic!

Please all skate in the same direction. Especially during busier sessions, we need you to keep skating at steady pace and avoid sudden stops where possible. This means everyone can enjoy the skating flow and avoid any traffic jams or accidents!

  1. Be Courteous to Other Skaters

Everyone here at Midlands Roller Arena is here to have a good time, so kindness is key. Please be mindful of other skaters around you in the shared arena space. Skating is more fun when we’re all in it together!

  1. No Food or Drinks on the Rink

Skating and snacking don’t mix! Please enjoy our food, drinks and treats in our Café to keep the rink clear for skating freely and cleanly!

  1. Listen to the Rink Team

Our Staff and Marshalls are here to keep the rink running smoothly. If they give you a friendly reminder, it’s for your safety and allow everyone to have the best experience, so please listen to any instructions given.

  1. Finally, HAVE FUN!

See you on the rink! 🛼✨
